We are excited to announce that we have been able to arrange for a small landscaping project to take place on the lower site. This is the next stage in our long-term effort to improve the environment on the lower site, supported by our PTA, which started with the addition of our wonderful pond last year.
Over the next couple of weeks, a landscaping team will be building a sensory garden/outdoor learning space, which can be used for quiet reflection and teaching small groups.
In order to ensure total safety throughout the work, we ask that children and parents respect the barriers that have been put in place. This means that children can not access their classrooms via the Year 4 end of the building and must instead walk around the building and access via the path by After School Club.
4W pupils should now wait on the lower playground before and after school, and will use the rear classroom door to enter and exit. 4R have a cordoned off area to enter/exit their classroom. Parents are welcome to wait on the lower playground to collect children at the very end of the day.
Please be vigilante when dropping off and collecting your children, especially if you also have little ones with you.
The children at the lower site have received training from a building company regarding safety near work sites, and we will also be reemphasising safety procedures in assembly on Friday.
Thank you for your support.
