During Art Week, the Year 3 and 4 children had a day in a different class to experience some of the different styles we can use to create art.
Mr Nixon's was sloppy painting or expressive art! A final piece was symmetrical squares joined to make one class tapestry.
Mr's Walker's was using pastels to create a Hundertwasser style piece focussing on Exmouth landmarks.
Miss Morgan acquired to skills of a professional artist to assist the children in creating a large masterpiece.
Mr Stevens used his extensive computing knowledge to show the children that iPads can be used as an art resource, especially when doing photography.
School exhibition will be on 17th July. There'll be no free prosecco or canapés!
3N will be taking part in the Outdoor Classroom Day on Thursday 18th May! An international event to just get children outdoors!
Welcome to Year 3
On this page you will find information about home learning and copies of letters sent home as well as photographs of just some of the exciting things we get up to in year 3!
Let Mrs Walker or Mr Nixon know if there is any other information you would like added to this page.
Year 3 children had a fantastic time visiting the University of Exeter where the Northcott Theatre is located. Not only was the play a wonderful experience, but they also really enjoyed the informative tour of the Bill Douglas Film Centre. Dr Phil Wickham shared some wonderful facts about the history of film and allowed the children to explore some of the original moving picture objects.
Thank you to the PTA for funding 30% of the trip!
