Year 5 Ancient Greek shield making

This week Year 5 ended their Rainforest and Brazil topic in true Rio style! The children took part in a Brazilian arts day where they designed and created their own carnival mask and also had the opportunity to make brigaderios (authentic Brazilian chocolate truffles!) A very exciting and creative day for some fantastic children! Well done Year 5!

Tudor Recipes

As part of their topic learning, Year 5 went on an exciting trip to Buckland Abbey in Yelverton - home of Sir Francis Drake! They enriched their learning on the famous sea captain as well as Tudor lifestyle. The children were really great at sharing their prior knowledge and were eager to learn more! Well done Year 5 on your fantastic manners! You were a pleasure to take on this trip.
